Passive Fire Protection, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and YOU

This breakfast seminar will explain some of the issues you need to be aware of in relation to the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

As a building designer or main contractor do you recognise all your legal responsibilities when specifying and installing passive fire protection?

If you are not trained in fire risk assessment, how can you be reassurred that your fire protection measures are fit for purpose?

Passive fire protection measures achieve their intended purpose by raising the fire resistance of the structure, protecting the structure against the effects of fire, reducing fire spread through secondary ignition, limiting the movement of flame and smoke, and minimising the danger of fire-induced collapse or structural distortion. Badly installed fire protection measures and subsequent poor refurbishment/repairs can compromise the built-in fire protection measures installed.
