In 2005, Exova Warringotnfire reached an agreement with the University of Ghent in Belgium to establish a spin-off from the testing laboratory for fire safety. This gave rise to a partnership with Exova Warringtonfire, and the Belgian laboratory of Warringtonfiregent is now an established authority on fire safety in Europe.
