Every country has their own version of fire regulations. They may insist on compliance with their own local standards, or alternatively in some cases they will accept either international standards, or well established standards from another country (such as NFPA or British Standards). However, they will usually have local variations or additions to those standards, and the local approvals procedures can be complex.

This is a particular strength of Exova Warringtonfire. We have offices located throughout the world and a wealth of experience of local fire codes as well as contacts with local approval bodies. So if there is an architect, engineer or developer in one country who is designing a building in another country, we can provide support from staff based close to the design team as well as the knowledge of the local design codes and approvals process in the country where it is to be built.

As an example, the fire regulations throughout most of the United Arab Emirates (which includes Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah) require designs for large buildings to be signed off by a House of Expertise before it is sent for approval. We are registered as a House of Expertise throughout the UAE, so we can provide that expertise.
