Exova Warringtonfire consulting undertook the complete fire safety strategy for the new fifth terminal recently opened at London’s Heathrow Airport. This is currently the largest construction project in Europe.

Exova Warringtonfire’s work involved assisting the client (British Airports Authority) and its architects (Richard Rogers Partnership) in designing the terminal to provide innovative, effective and cost efficient fire safety using a mix of conventional active and passive fire protection measures alongside fire engineering techniques.

Heathrow - already the world’s busiest international airport - will have its capacity increased by 30 million passengers per year by the addition of T5.
