Field Models
CFD models utilise computer software to calculate a time-based development of a fire, based on complex calculation methods (e.g. the Navier-Stokes equations). These models provide a 3-dimensional representation of the building, which is advantageous for complex building designs
The CFD Models produce a number of output parameters to graphically represent the smoke temperature, visibility, velocity etc. The software can also provide a visual representation of the flames and smoke around the 3D domain.
